Today the guest is the last inspector.
A supervisor cannot walk every room after every clean. A floor walk takes 15 to 20 minutes, staff change often, and on a busy checkout day most rooms go to guests unchecked.
So small misses — a towel not replaced, hair in the sink, an empty bin that was not emptied — are found by the next guest. That is the most expensive way to find them: a complaint, a room move, a review.
SoloQC moves the check to the one moment it is cheap to fix anything: while the cleaner is still in the room.
How it works

Set the checklist once
For each room type, choose a few photo points — bed, desk corner, sink, toilet, shower — and up to 5 plain statements per point, like “Two towels are folded on the bed”. Start from a template or write your own.
The cleaner takes the photos
After cleaning, the cleaner opens the room in the app, picks checkout or stayover, and photographs each point with the live camera. No gallery uploads.
AI checks each photo
Each photo is checked against your statements in the background, usually within a few seconds. The camera has already moved on to the next point.
Missed items are fixed now
If something is missing, the phone vibrates and says what to fix: “No towels on the bed”. The cleaner fixes it, retakes the photo, and the point turns green.

Guesthouses
Up to 5 rooms are free for as long as you use it, with 7 days of photo history. No setup fee, no contract.
What it does not do
One job, done well. Here is what SoloQC is not.
- Not a PMS, booking tool or channel manager. It does not connect to your PMS or calendar.
- Not a scheduler. There are no tasks or assignments; cleaners pick the room they just cleaned.
- No offline mode. Each photo is checked online. Without a connection, photo taking pauses.
- No gallery uploads. Photos come only from the live camera in the app.
- It only checks what a photo can show. It cannot tell whether a surface was disinfected.
- English only for now. The cleaner app and admin are in English; more languages are planned.
- Phones only for cleaners. iPhone and Android; iPad is not supported.
- No public API, and card payments only.

What is SoloQC?
SoloQC is a self-check app for hotel and villa cleaners. Before leaving a room, the cleaner photographs a few fixed points, such as the bed, the desk corner, the sink, the toilet and the shower. An AI model checks each photo against your checklist and tells the cleaner within seconds if something was missed, so it is fixed before a guest finds it.
Managers get a photo log of how every room was cleaned, and analytics by room and by cleaner.
How much time does it add per room?
Each photo point takes about 20 to 25 seconds, so a room with 5 points adds about 2 minutes. The check runs in the background: after each photo the camera moves straight to the next point, and the result for the previous photo arrives while the cleaner is taking the next one. Usually it takes a few seconds.
A stayover clean (guest still in the room) usually has only 2 or 3 points. Photo points are capped at 10 per room type even on Pro, on purpose: more photos would cost your staff more time than they save.
How accurate is the AI check?
We do not publish an accuracy figure yet, because we have only measured it on test photos, not in real hotels at scale. We will publish field numbers once we have them.
Accuracy depends a lot on how a checklist item is worded. Clear, positive, single-fact statements ("The bin is empty") work much better than negations or counts ("There are no more than four pillows"). The checklist editor warns about wording that tends to fail.
What happens if the AI is wrong?
If a point fails twice, the cleaner can mark it as done manually, and must choose a reason. The room is not blocked. Every manual mark and its reason is visible to the manager next to the photo, so you can see whether the cleaner or the checklist was right.
Checklist items that are often overridden stand out in the admin, which usually means the statement needs rewording. There is a limit of 5 photo attempts per point, after which only a manual mark is possible.
